Up and Coming: April in the Lowcountry

APRIL 2015

  • April is open season for the butterfly house at Brookgreen Gardens and the gardens are open until 8 p.m.
  • April 1 - May 27 - Something special for date night or girls night out - Wine Strolls on Wednesdays at Middleton Place can't be beat.
  • April 4 - 12 - "The tennis" is here and kids age 15 and younger get in free this year! Details  on Family Circle Cup at Daniel Island.
  • April 7 - Mt Pleasant Farmers Market is back! Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
  • April 12 - Second Sunday on King St. - the food, the live music, the shopping.
  • April 12 - Blues by the Sea at Kiawah Island - a free concert at Freshfields.
  • April 16 - The Pitt St Stroll in the Old Village, Mt. Pleasant - every third Thursday of the month!
  • April 17 - The next Citadel Parade - an awesome sight for kids.
  • April 18 - 19 - Free days at Fort Moultrie honoring National Park Week's opening Weekend.
  • April 24 - May 2 - ArtFields returns to Lake City, SC featuring Pluff Mud Kid's own artist Brenda Gilliam!
  • April 26 - The Blessing of the Fleet offers good tidings for our local shrimp boats.
