Unplugged SC: campfires

"Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong."
- George Carlin, American comedian

We hope you are enjoying a lazy Spring Break, whether in town or out of town. We have taken some time out to unplug and unwind. Camping, exploring, and day-tripping are perfect ways to make the most of a staycation. Herewith, a few top picks if you're craving a quick local getaway this week!

Hunting Island Beach - tune in tomorrow for more info on the Hunting Island Lighthouse

*88 miles south of Charleston, SC:

  • Day trip from Hunting Island to Beaufort, SC
  • Add a splash of history and education at neighboring Parris Island Museum at the Parris Island Marine Base.
And closer to Charleston, SC:
