the great ocean tank - by the numbers

Sit for a dive show at the SC Aquarium and have a fact-packed 20 minutes of relaxation:
  1. The great ocean tank is 42 feet deep - not the largest, but the deepest in North America.
  2. There are 365,000 gallons of water in the great ocean tank.
  3. There are 750 animals in the tank. 13 of those are sharks.
  4. There is a time-out box for the loggerhead turtle to hang out and snack in while the sharks are feeding. For the protection of the turtle? No! So she doesn't steal the sharks food!
