snapshot from the 43rd annual Scottish Highland Games, Charleston

Amid big kilts and little kilts of every clan's plaid, Boone Hall Plantation is always the perfect backdrop for the Charleston Scottish Highland Games. The rain held off and we sat back with a hot cup of Scottish tea alongside the marsh as a cool breeze carried across these historic fields. The constant hum of pipers and drummers buzzed all day as cabers were tossed and sheep were herded; all judged carefully for perfection. Long-established Cameron's British Foods always provides the most excellent fish and chips, authentic meat pies, scotch eggs, and Shepard's pies to round out a very relaxing day. Put it on your calendar for next year!
