Shade Seekers: Edisto Beach State Park

A few weeks ago we found shade and cooler breezes on a walking trail at Edisto Beach State Park. Only an hour away from Charleston, this state park has beach access as well as a separate entrance for camping and walking or biking - be sure to visit both locations and allow a whole day to explore!

Walk along trails encrusted with shells and visit the ancient Edisto Indian oyster shell mound or "midden" on the Indian Mound Trail...

Then head over to the beach and cool down!
