Steppin' out: Saveurs Du Monde Cafe

"Food is our common ground, a universal experience."

-James Beard

Some time ago, I mentioned that I always visit and revisit a place with and without my camera so that I really know it's good before I post it here on the blog. With this rule in mind I set about doing my homework at a new Mt. Pleasant cafe and have stopped in to sample the fare at least half a dozen times... all in the name of research of course! It's a tough job, but I wanted to be absolutely certain that it was truly as decadent as the first time I visited. It is not only delicious, but consistently so and has even passed the high scrutiny of Pluff Mud Kid's Nanna (aka The Queen Bee) - lately when I'm trying to track her down, this is where I find her!

Owners Dominique Chantepie, Florence Chantepie, Thierry Chateau, and Christiane Chateau have joined culinary forces to produce an amazing array of pastries and healthy options in a beautiful, clean space. These creatives have traveled the world to bring you SDM cafe which literally means "tastes of the world".  " We designed our space for families", said Dominique Chantepie as he handed me this perfect breakfast...

We leave you with the Pluff Mud Kid's mini foodies acrostic poem review created by Aidan, and Cole...
