beach run/walk through the winter - part 1

There's nowhere like the beach for blowing the cobwebs out and making you feel like you could run or walk forever. Hard packed sand is great for running/walking/biking and kids and dogs never say "no" to this free workout. Put it on your list for ways to jump start this new year and keep it movin'! Today's pick is the lovely and clear Huntington Beach State Park in Murrell's Inlet, SC. Right off Hwy 17, this beach access is gorgeous and there is easy parking and convenient restrooms and picnic tables as well as a boardwalk through to the beach. Dogs are allowed on the south beach end on a lead. PMK dog Winston gives it his wholehearted approval...

Tucked in this inlet, the water is just so clear here. Take a picnic and enjoy the view...
