Life & Art in Charleston 101

Sometimes a casual walk can inspire great things... a boy spies baskets...

Two artists of different crafts and different walks of life chat about creating, and permission is granted for a beautiful photo...

in turn, a local artist is inspired to paint the story. Watercolor artist Jacintha Chave imagines color and tone. Linger in the Charleston market for a while and study the craft that has been handed down for generations. These baskets make a fantastic local Christmas gift!

The Charleston City Market
375 Meeting St.
Downtown Charleston, SC
Open 365 days a year - great for unique Christmas gifts
Parking: there are many public parking garages nearby, but I like to park inside the Charleston Place Hotel garage and then stroll through the Charleston Place shops and out to cross the street to the market for an extra bit of walking.
Public restrooms and food and drinks available inside the market.
