coastal path and park

A Pluff Mud Kids reader recommended this great excursion. It really is a perfect park and an easy walk, run, or coasting path. We chose to dog walk and scooter ride...

It's a 3 mile round trip on this beautiful path on the Isle of Palms, SC. You park in the public parking lot at the Isle of Palms recreation department park at 28th Ave and ride up one block to 29th.  Follow it along to the path that runs along the golf course cart path. You can ride straight to the IOP marina at 41st Ave and take a break. Then turn back, ending at the park.

The colors in the fall marsh are gorgeous this time of year...

You'll know you've hit 1.5 mile when you reach this sign and see the marina - a great spot with picnic tables, drinks, and snacks.

When you return to the park, check out the facility inside this building (with clean restrooms!)

This has always been one of our favorite parks in all of Charleston. Bring a ball to kick around in the adjoining soccer field!

Winston LOVES the dog park directly behind the building.
