Pick a Patch (Part I)

Hhhhmm, is it me, or didn't we say goodbye to summer weeks ago? Despite the continuing heat and humidity, on Sunday we donned our t-shirts and flip flops and headed to the pumpkin patch in a pumpkin picking frame of mind. The pumpkins were hot to the touch in the blinding sun!

For years, the Hibben Patch on Coleman Blvd in Mt. Pleasant has been our local neighborhood favorite. It's simply a pumpkin patch with no added attractions. The proceeds from this years sales benefit the Epworth Children's Home, Hibben Mission, United Methodist Relief Center, Hibben youth programs, and Windwood Farm Home for Children.

Whether your picken' criteria is based on the size of your head...

Or the gnarliest pumpkin you can spy, I think you will find what you are looking for.

Grab a wheelbarrow and have fun!
PMK tip- don't carve that pumpkin yet! It's still too hot if you're planning to leave it outside.
