Cannon Park

If you like architecture, a bit of history, butterflies, bird watching, a fantastic tree to climb, or all of the above, I have a PMK pick for you!

Cannon Park is tucked in a nook between Rutledge and Ashley avenues near the Medical University of SC on Calhoun St. in downtown Charleston. Named for Daniel Cannon, a master builder and Revolutionary War patriot from Charleston, this park is a sunny little place to play.

These beautiful oaks provide shade and...

this wicked climbing tree!

In the 1890s, a Confederate War Veterans Auditorium stood here and these columns are what remains of it. Loving that they are still here and we can play beneath them.

Cannon Park
131 Rutledge Ave.
Downtown Charleston, SC
Parking: there is metered parking on the streets running all around the park and there is a parking garage across the street on Rutledge Ave.

Winston approves! There is a great field for dogs here and they are allowed off the lead.
